Parklife 2015
For the third year running, we were asked to take care of the audio requirements for the Colonade Stage.
We opted to give out new LA-Raks their first outing. With L’ACOUSTICS V-DOSC as the main system, SB28’s covering sub duties and KARA providing front and out fills. Delays were covered by Turbosound Flex array cabinets powered by our tried and tested MC2 racks.
A Midas Pro2 and Digico SD8 took care of FOH and monitor positions respectively with system processing taken care of by Lake LM44’s.

Sainsbury’s School Games 2014
Twelve sports over eleven venues in four days.
The Sainsbury’s 2014 School Games is a multi-sport event for the UK’s elite young athletes of school age. Competition is held in twelve current and future Olympic and Paralympic sports: Fencing, Rugby Sevens, Gymnastics, Hockey, Badminton, Athletics, Cycling, Judo, Swimming, Table Tennis, Volleyball and Wheelchair Basketball.
We were asked to provide audio systems for each venue, with lighting systems installed where necessary.
First in was the gymnastics, which was staged at the Phones 4u Arena in Manchester. We installed seven hangs of Turbosound TFA600 series, with a mixture of H and HW elements, to supplement these, there were two hangs of L’Acoustics SB18’s and a single drop of Kara to cover the performance area.
Over the next two days we installed the systems into the remaining venues. Four venues were covered with Nexo PS Series, four with L’Acoustics HiQ’s and in the last two we used Turbosound TFM systems. All supplemented by Turbosound TSW218’s.
Control packages comprised of either LS9’s or M7CL’s, Mac Mini multi i/o playback systems with touch screens and Sennheiser RF and IEM systems.
